با وجود اینکه هشت مارس با اعتراض زنان کارگر در امریکا در سال ۱۹۰۹ و سپس دیگر کشورها رقم خورد و اندک اندک جهانی و ثبت شد. (سازمان ملل در سال ۱۹۷۵) ، امروز دیگر در بیشتر کشورهای جهان‌این روز را جشن می گیرند.

با اینحال متاسفانه در کشورهایی مانند ایران هنوز زنان به خواسته های بر حق خود نرسیده اند و مبارزه علیه بیدادگری ادامه دارد، زیرا که قوانین ضد بشری شریعت اسلام و حاکمیت وقت مانند بختک روی زنان ایران دامن گسترده است.

ضدیت علیه زنان مانع حرکت‌های سیاسی، اجتماعی، اقتصادی و فرهنگی زنان ایران شده است و در چهار دهه اخیر فشار روی نیمی از جامعه ی ایران که شامل زنان هستند بیشتر و بیشترشده است. دولت اسلامی اعتراض و مطالبات آنان را همواره نادیده گرفته است . زنان ایران امروز به حاکمیت مرد سالار، جامعه ی مرد سالار، خانواده ی مرد سالار و قوانین پوسیده ی سنتی نه می گویند تا جایی که خط مقدم اعتراضات و پرچم مبارزات مدنی در ایران را زنان ایران به دوش گرفته و حرکت می کنند.

سازمان زنان ایران ضمن شادباش روز جهانی زن به یکایک زنان ایران، همراه و هم پیمان با زنان ایران تا رسیدن به عدالت، برابری، آزادی، رفع تبعیض جنسیتی، رفع تبعیض عقیدتی … ثابت قدم خواهد ماند.

‏Celebration of the International Women’s Day

‏Although the date of March eighth was established with the protests of female labors working in America in the year 1909, then expanded to the other countries, later to the rest of world, with final adaption by the United Nation in 1975 as the International Women’s Day. This day is being celebrated and respected worldwide by most of the countries and the law abiding members of the world organization.
‏Unfortunately, in countries like Iran where a religious autocratic dictatorship rules, women don’t have the very basic women and human rights and their struggles have been continuing against the anti-women and anti-family sharia laws for over four decades. The violation of equal rights for women resulted in preventing feasible growth in the area of the political, social, economic, and cultural movements for the Iranian women ‘s organizations. The Iranian women suffrage is well known to the Western democratic countries while there has not been reactions from the world community while the Islamic government pressure on 51% of the Iranian population have exceeded and has been unique in twenty and twenty first centuries. These inequalities and injustice were shouted in the latest Iranian women’s protests requesting a complete overhaul of anti-women laws in Iran. Now, the Iranian women are demanding freedom from the ideological tyranny of sharia law, abolition of insubordination of females to men, sovereignty from a male dominant society, independence from the outdated legislations governing marriage, divorce, family, custody of children, and polygamy. The women have been carrying the flag of civil struggles in the Iranian society in this never-ending battle for equality and justice.
